Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI)

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) created the Web Accessibility Initiative which in turn developed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0. These guidelines are the standards that web developers strive to meet when designing accessible web sites. Hamilton & Bond has written a white paper that helps explain the intent of these guidelines.

The W3C WAI has introduced a family of conformance logos for display on web pages as a claim of conformance to a specified conformance level of the accessibility guidelines. This web page meets conformance level A as indicated in the logo below. Other pages of the Hamilton & Bond website that meet levels of conformance will be indicated by the appropriate logo.
